The Blue Boats
Cassis is a small coastal town situated east of Marseille in the Côte d’Azur region, whose coastline is known as the French Riviera, in Southern France. It is a popular tourist destination, famous for its cliffs (falaises) and the sheltered inlets called ‘calanques’. The small port is filled with boats, many of them of traditional build vividly splashed in the colour blue. The tranquillity of the sea and serenity of these ‘blue boats’ in port creates a sense of peace and calm that extends pervasively to the inner self.
