Morning In The Blue Gums
Centennial Park in Sydney’s east is a well-known and very popular spot for many city dwellers seeking recreation. On the northern edge of the park is a less well-known forest of regal blue gums. As the morning light glances off the sides of these trees, it is easy to imagine oneself being immersed in the Australian bush rather than in the midst of a major city. The bluish tint of the canopy splotches its shadows across the grove of brilliant white trunks, at the same time allowing spurts of of sunshine to light up patches of grass below… a representation of renewal.
